Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry has revealed how their program World Economic and Investment Forum (WEI Forum) will connect African made goods to the world.

WEI Forum according to the organization will strategically expose African companies to the vast opportunities around the world especially in Europe.

 and Industry said the WEI Forum project is designed to Connect African Continent with Continents through Multilateral Trade Partnership and Trade Cooperation.

“The project will act as a bridge between Government, Organizations, Businesses, and Investors to create a favourable platform to trade and investment, fostering social responsibility through local participation in activities and projects”, Buchi George said.

According to him, the focus of the project includes Business Development; Investment; Trade Development and Promotion; Economic Exchange and Cooperation; and Bilateral and Multilateral Trade Partnership.

A statement on the website has it that the aim of the event is to “promotes Investment Promotion Policies (IPP), Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT), through Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), G2G, B2B, B2C Trade relationships and Trade between Continents through Conferences, Summits, Expos, Fairs that create value for all humanity and sectors”

“This project is also in partnership with Governments, International Organizations and Business leaders promoting trade and investment”

One arm of the project has been design to boost trade and investment in the continent and connect African made goods to Europe, according to Buchi George.

The Europe Africa Economic and Investment Forum which is billed for Prague, Czech Republic in 2023 will be a gateway for the World Economic and Investment Forum.

“At this level we’re dealing with continental unions to see that more doors are opened for better trade relationships between Africa and other continents”

“African Made Goods, Brands, Products and Services (GBPS) for the Exports Exhibition and Expo is also one of it and we will also keep looking at ways to develop sector-based strategies that can make a direct impact in the economy of the continent”, Buchi George also added.

Czech, Polish, Nigerian Ambassadors to Host Presidency Ahead of Nigeria ECBD Forum

 As part of plans to achieve the goals of the Economic Cooperation and Business Development Forum (ECBD Forum), the representative of the Presidency will be meeting with three ambassadors.

 According to reports, the representative will be meeting with the Nigeria Ambassador in Czech Republic and Poland, Ambassador Kevin Peters and Maj Gen. Christian Ugwu Rtd respectively.

 The meeting will help foster Economic Cooperation on Medical, Health Business and Investment between Nigeria. Czech Republic and Poland as plan intensifies for the ECBD Forum scheduled for Prague, Czech Republic and Warsaw Poland from 8th to 18th December 2022.

 Speaking from Abuja Nigeria, the Deputy Director of the organizing firm, Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry Emmanuel John Ocheje said that the meeting will be a networking point for industry leaders in the health sector from Nigeria and Europe.

 He added that the event will further boost quality health investment in Nigeria via capacity, expertise and best practices.

 Ocheje further stated that the event will contribute to the strategic implementation of the healthcare police of the Federation Government of Nigeria to ensure citizens receive its true benefits.

  The President of Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George said that healthcare delivery challenges are global, multidimensional and complex.

He added that the need for the event, which is specializing in the health sector, is born out of research to get deep insight of the investment opportunities in the health sector of the country.



 “The objectives of the study include to provide deeper insights into the opportunities in Nigeria’s health sector and to position Nigeria firms as Czech Republic and Poland innovative partners for Medical Health opportunities”

 “There are opportunities to leverage investments through funders and investors who also support and fund systems building, in addition to making access available to the private sector”, Buchi George said.

He further stated that the functional healthcare systems cannot operate in isolation and to deliver the maximum benefit, they need to work effectively as part of a wider ecosystem that includes a well-trained workforce, funding to pay for health services, diagnostics and therapeutics.

The Government of Czech Republic and Poland seeks to support Nigeria in strengthening its healthcare systems, to foster investments in Nigeria’s health sector and transfer capacity, expertise and best practices in line with its trade and aid policies. 

Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Times, a widely read online information platform has reports that the Nigeria Ambassador in Czech Republic and Poland, Ambassador Kelvin Peters and Maj Gen. Christian Ugwu Rtd, respectively will be hosting the Minister of Health State with a team of top medical director and Medical health professionals.

Globe Chamber Business Times Team made it known that delegates from Nigeria will embark on a three-day fact-finding mission for the Nigeria Economic Cooperation on Medical, Health Business and Investment Forum to Prague, Czech Republic and Warsaw Poland from 8th to 18th December 2022. The delegation will include the private sector healthcare providers, financial investors and public sector officials.

This visit is organized by The Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry with Office of the Minister of Health for State, Abuja   in collaboration with the Czech Chamber of Commerce and Poland Chamber of Commerce as implementing partners for the Government of the Czech and Poland health-related activities.

 

The Deputy Director GCCI Abuja, further revealed that the Economic Cooperation on Medical, Health Business and Investment Forum will bring together leaders to meet and interact with European Health Leaders. He said the Economic Forum in Czech and Poland aimed at fostering investments in the Nigerian health sector and to transfer capacity, expertise and best practices.

“We aim to improve sustainable business partnerships between the Czech Republic, Poland and Nigeria in the health sector”.

“We understand the importance of authentic partnerships and aim to reap shared benefits from matchmaking opportunities in Czech Republic and Poland,” he said.

Hon. Ekumankama Joseph Nkam, Nigeria Minister of State for Health, when contacted provided insights into the drafting of a new global health strategy. He stated that “the world economies had become more globalized and Nigeria will embark on the mission to strengthen national health system.

“The Government of Nigeria, as part of its global development goals, has established a policy directive to structure the support it provides to the healthcare sector and to ensure that its national health efforts are more strategic.

“The upcoming Economic Forum (Nigeria Economic Cooperation on Medical, Health Business and Investment Forum) aims to contribute in a coordinated and targeted way to improving the health systemin the country and also deploy technologies that will guarantee our nation’s health in future. This is not limited to equipment, we will also deploy innovative software and financing solutions that address our current needs in Nigeria. The Hon. Minister said.

Hon. Nwabueze Buchi George, Chairman Globe Chamber of Commerce and Industry also noted that healthcare challenges have become increasingly global, multidimensional and complex.

“The Nigeria Economic Cooperation on Medical, Health Business and Investment Forum focuses on strengthening National health architecture and systems.

“As Africa’s biggest economy, the state of affairs in Nigeria often reflects issues and opportunities that exist across the continent. That is why this Economic Cooperation is so important,” Hon. Buchi George, said.

Furthermore, he also shared findings from the Nigeria Health Sector Market Study.

“The report is scheduled to be disseminated in December 2022 and it will provide deeper insights into the market entry strategies for Czech Republic and Poland companies looking to leverage investment opportunities in Nigeria’s health sector,” he said.
